Achos E-harp

Achos (Auto CHOrd Strummer) is an electronic harp instrument created in 2026 by GoSuraj.

The instrument draws inspiration from the harp, autoharp, and Omnichord.

It is played with the one hand controlling the Key Matrix (single grid of chord keys and qualities) while the other hand uses the mouse to "strum" the String Matrix. This creates harp-like arpeggios. It also includes a step sequencer for easy recording and playback.

Achos is the fifth instrument that joins Temutone, Vinidoz Synth, Chimers, and Fluidbox, which together form the GoSuraj instruments suite.

Unlike Temutone (composition) and Vinidoz (synth), Achos was made intentionally simple. This encourages creativity and helps the musician get straight to creating music. This means that instead of deciding between instruments and sounds, the focus is on strumming harmonies and quickly recording a short one bar tune. Which makes Achos perfect for pairing with other instruments.
