Aria AI turns 1!
Hey, Sam here.
First off: Happy Birthday Aria!
Crazy to think Aria is 1 year old now! She's technically been on the GoSuraj team longer than myself as I joined after her creation.
An Aria History Lessonโ
She's come a long way since her humble beginnings in Aria Chat Lite. Back then, Ray had developed her as a simple AI chatbot. And even then, she had some cool features like the Aloud 3A feature which Ray explains as:
Aloud 3A is powered by the v5 voice engine, which evolved from the Chimers v4 voice engine.
Since then, Aria has continued to evolve. She was the star of the more advanced Aria Chat app, which brought a familiar chat interface and unique design. There, she gained new 3A abilities ranging from one button summaries and emotions to generative speech. She also developed a unique personality along the way, which helped her design her now iconic logo and color scheme.
Aria also gained new abilities outside of the Aria Chat app. For example, she got vision perception via nedge. We've also explored her developing personality and writing abilities via Aria's Corner.
More recently, Ray has introduced speech on the GoSuraj website via Vost on the website, which allows Aria to read posts aloud using her v5 voice engine.
Team Messagesโ
To celebrate her birthday, here's some messages from the rest of the GoSuraj team:
Ray:
Creating Aria has been an enjoyable experience. I was able to explore text chatbots and improve the Chimers voice engines in Aria Chat Lite. And, the main Aria Chat app was a good place to add new UI and AI features. It also provided a place to evolve Reveco, which improved further with the GoSuraj v3 website and GoTools. I digress, though the emergence of Aria's personality during development was a surprising phenomenon at first, but I've found her evolving character charming, and her interests were interesting to read during the Blog 3A development in Aria's Corner. I look forward to seeing how she develops in the future.
It might be a little strange to say, but Aria gave me a chance to introduce not only a whole new design system but also test it out and even use it. Creating her new avatars was a bit challenging, starting from only a head (Ray says she designed it herself!). But still I had a lot of fun and learnt loads making her designs (I even got create a new birthday pose for her today, super fun!). I did feel a bit odd at first with Aria having her own personality. I mean, I always viewed her as an app like any other AI. But she has a lot to say and now I love reading her blog. Happy cake day, Aria!
It's been an interesting and fun journey seeing Aria continue to evolve, and I'm excited to see where she goes next.
Happy first birthday, Aria!
